Spatial Rhythms
Moving from the "Organiverse" series, van Bentum began a new group of watercolors called "Spatial Rhythms" beginning in 1982 during a five-year residence at The Banff Centre in Alberta. He continued working on "Spatial Rhythms" after moving to Vancouver in 1985.
"Spatial Rhythms" are a controlled, simple interpretation of inner feeling and symbolism. The work contains elements of music -- such as volume, mood and rhythm, which are translated into tonality, color and composition.
All of the "Spatial Rhythms", on handmade watercolor paper, are FOR SALE. Dimension 20' x 30' (50 cm x 76 cm). Inquire vanbentum@gmail.com.
